Bendigo Branch Schools Program
Over the past 18 months the Bendigo branch as been completing a schools program with great success. At present the Bendigo South East College has a group undertaking the program lead by the President Vic Alexander. Whilst Vic has had a hands on approach and has been part of coaching the students in the skills and knowledge of target shooting he has also been able to interview some of the participants and here are their thoughts;
Chris, T:First week was alright, first few shots were a bit off, but once i got use to using the firearm over the following weeks of the program improving my scores each week.Enjoyed shooting the metallic silhouettes of pigs, chickens, turkeys and rams this was alot of fun and in the final shoot was able to hit two rams at a distance of 100 metres.
Letitia S.Shooting on Thursday was one of the best experiences i’ve had. It felt really awkward at the start of the program but as the weeks progressed became a more confident shooter and thought the coaching was fantastic. Thought shooting metallic silhouette was really fun and enjoyed shooting the chickens the most as they were the closest and easiest to hit. Thoroughly enjoyed the program and the opportunity to learn a new Sport and skill. posted on 26th August 2009
